  • Use

    The area is to be used for activities within office, contractors, industry, warehouses, skilled trade, workshop, production and transport The area is divided into three detail areas cf. § 13.1 Unbuilt areas which have not been laid out for circulation or other purposes can be laid out and used as common free areas only, and their appearance must be consistent with the location and use of the area.

  • Current conditions

    The area covers an area of some 5,5 ha

  • Building provisions

    New buildings are to have a maximum of two storeys and a height of 10 metres above ground. Buildings in building area 6 are to have the maximum height of 6 metres based on the circumstances specified in the detailed provisions § 14.

  • Remaining available space

    There has been laid out 4 buildings zone and 6 building areas in the subarea. Once the abovementioned building potential has been utilised, the area is considered fully developed without any available space in the area.

  • Traffic service and utilities

    Road access to the area is to be from Mittarfiup Aqquserna The circumstances for road access in the individual detail areas is given in the detail provisions (§16)

  • Listed, protected and preservation-worthy features

    No special provisions

  • Regulated zones

    Regulated zones exist around the airport in the shape of obstacle limitation surfaces that consist of partly a horizontal surface and a conical surface, partly approach and take-off surfaces in continuation of the runway. The area is located under the airport’s obstacle limitation surface, and is covered by the horizontal surface, where buildings and other facilities cannot be established higher than level 171.0 metres and roads no higher than level 166.0 metres. The area is located in the safety zone for heliport why bulding and construction needs approval from Mittarfeqarfiit

  • Special provisions

    Heavily polluting companies may set up in certain delimited parts of the area. The establishment of a heavily polluting company presupposes an environmental permit, pursuant to the Government of Greenland’s Executive Order no. 11 of 20 August 2004 on environmental approval of heavily polluting companies etc.
