  • Use

    The area is to be used for technical purposes. The area is to be used for technical purposes in the shape of mining and quarrying sand and gravel. It is allowed to place relevant plants such as sorters, in the area. The area is reserved for mining and quarrying by excavation as well as relevant plants. Furthermore it is allowed to use some of the area for storage of excavated materials.

    The area covers an area of some 1.0 ha

    New buildings and plants are to have a maximum height of 10 metres.

  • Traffic service and utilities

    From the area, access is to be provided to the other areas and functions in the settlement by means of the existing system of wheel tracks and paths.

  • Regulated zones

    Regulated zones exist around the airport in the shape of obstacle limitation surfaces that consist of partly a horizontal surface and a conical surface, partly approach and take-off surfaces in continuation of the runway. The area is located under the airport’s obstacle limitation surface, and is covered by the horizontal surface, where buildings and other facilities cannot be established higher than level 60,5 metres and roads no higher than level 54,5 metres. The area is located under the obstacle limitation surface at the airport and is covered by approach and take-off surfaces. The maximum ridge level of buildings and facilities and the construction level of roads are variable and depend on the distance to the runway and a right-angled distance from the centre line.

  • Special provisions

    Heavily polluting companies may set up in the area. The establishment of a heavily polluting company presupposes an environmental permit, pursuant to the Government of Greenland’s Executive Order no. 11 of 20 August 2004 on environmental approval of heavily polluting companies etc.
