Areas for industry and ports

The area is to be used for port purposes involving dock and pier facilities, terminal functions and similar port facilities. The offshore area may be used for anchoring and mooring

The area covers an area of some 3.9 ha

New buildings are to have a maximum height of 12 metres

The area has 7,000 m² of available space, depending on the final layout of the buildings. Once the abovementioned building potential has been utilised, the area is considered fully developed without any available space in the area.

Road access to the area is to be from Mittarfimmut Aqqut

No special provisions

Regulated zones exist around the airport in the shape of obstacle limitation surfaces that consist of partly a horizontal surface and a conical surface, partly approach and take-off surfaces in continuation of the runway. The area is located under the airport’s obstacle limitation surface, and is covered by the horizontal surface, where buildings and other facilities cannot be established higher than level 73.0 metres and roads no higher than level 68.0 metres.

Containers can be set up in the area temporarily to provide storage. Blasting of hill/mountain is restricted to up until level 15. High-lying mountain/hill sections are to remain unspoiled
